The Yamuna (Sanskrit: यमुना, sometimes called Jamuna or Jumna) is the largest tributary of river ganga.
Originating from the Yamunotri Glacier it travels a total length of 1,376 kilometers before merging with the Ganges at Sangam,Allahabad.
Nearly 57 million people depend on the Yamuna waters.
It is worshipped as goddess Yamuna, throughout its course.

Tons a tributary of yamuna
Tons is the largest tributary of Yamuna. Tons carries more water than the Yamuna itself and meets Yamuna below Kalsi near Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
