The Yamuna (Sanskrit: यमुना, sometimes called Jamuna or Jumna) is the largest tributary of river ganga.
Originating from the Yamunotri Glacier it travels a total length of 1,376 kilometers before merging with the Ganges at Sangam,Allahabad.
Nearly 57 million people depend on the Yamuna waters.
It is worshipped as goddess Yamuna, throughout its course.
